This time we’re meeting Platform Engineer, James Pollard
Who are you?
I’m James and I’ve recently joined Yobah as a Platform Engineer within the Tech Ops Team
What’s your background?
Prior to joining Yobah, I worked for an MSP in East Yorkshire supporting mainly the education sector. I bring with me over a decade’s worth of experience and knowledge in the IT industry which I’m looking forward to applying to this role.
What does your day usually look like?
What’s your favourite thing about Yobah Life?
Working from home is a massive change for me which I’m slowly adapting to! I love working on exciting and challenging projects with the cloud technology we offer.
Most likely to be on your playlist?
Depends on the mood!, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Keys just to name a few!. I also love a bit of Drum & Bass, house, and synth-wave!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was growing up, I wanted to be a Formula 1 driver. I’ve been a fan since the early 00’s and I haven’t stopped watching since.
