Our day to day business has always been about keeping other organisations moving, safely and securely with an IT infrastructure that works for their needs and helps them to grow through the use of technology.
And this has never been more important than during #COVID19 with businesses required to enable their teams to work from home on a scale never seen before and to replicate IT environments across multiple locations, devices and more.
We’ve launched our Remote Workplace offering in direct response to COVID19, we already had a number of clients trialling this product but when the forward plan became the ‘right now’ we were ready to productionise our pilot product, ensuring event those clients with people in the most technical of roles could access their software as though they were in the office, without worrying about the powerful PCs they’d left behind on their desks in the office.
If you tried to get some kit to make your ‘work from home’ life easier in the past few weeks you’ll know that it’s no mean feat, not everyone in the workforce has a laptop but from March 23rd onwards, almost everyone needed one – and fast. We were able to distribute laptops we had in stock, ready to go for those clients who couldn’t get into the office to access laptops or who simply were desktop users needing another solution.
We’re more digitally connected than ever before but the trusty telephone is still an important asset in most business communication and for some clients #COVID19 presented an additional challenge here, what happens when a customer ‘rings’ the office – and no one is there to answer? We put in place calling features and external phone numbers for our clients meaning that their customers can contact a company number rather than a personal mobile and utilised Microsoft Teams for calls, keeping the communication channels open and business uninterrupted.
For those businesses where physically being in the same room as your client is a core part of what you do, the CoronaVirus outbreak threw up a whole new set of challenges! We worked with our client – an event business to bring their event offering online helping them to broadcast live events through Microsoft Teams and seamlessly making the physical experience a virtual one.
Happily our clients are still hiring and on-boarding, IT is always a big part of on-boarding, learning the systems that enable you do to the job you’re hired for are critical. Our Managed WorkPlace service uses autopilot and white glove, meaning we can ship devices directly from our supplier to our client, and the device arrives ready to go – set up with the IT requirement the user needs to get on with the job.
We’re a business like any other – we need to make money to survive but we understand that COVID19 has presented more challenges for business than they could ever have forseen and so, we’ve waived various fees and project costs to ensure our clients are able to work, remain productive and really focus on investing in their businesses for a post CoronaVirus world.
