Welcome to another edition of Yobah Life, this time around we’re taking you behind the scenes to meet our team! Whilst our core team is a small (yet perfectly formed!) group, we also work with a range of skilled and experienced associates and over the next few editions of Yobah Life, we’ll be introducing you to them and us!
First up let’s meet our resident marketing expert…
Who are you?
I’m Natalie Asprey and I’m a Marketing Consultant working with Yobah on everything from high-level marketing strategy to day to day delivery.
What’s your background?
I’ve spent more than 12 years working in Marketing across a range of sectors including Non-Profit, Legal, Recruitment and Executive Search and Tech before setting up my own consultancy in early 2019. I’m passionate about working with small businesses who are looking to maximise their marketing efforts and who need both the strategic direction and hands-on marketing support of an experienced marketer.
What does your day usually look like?
I’ll usually kick off my day with a strong cup of tea! and then check the newsfeeds and social media for my clients, at Yobah we’re focusing on creating valuable content and building brand alongside looking at product development for the business so my days can range from anything from writing blogs, social and e-comms, producing videos or podcasts, brand development, PR opportunities and anything in between!
What’s your favourite thing about Yobah Life?
The thing I love most about working with Yobah is the willingness as a business to try new things and to put trust in marketing, there are still many businesses who don’t see the value of marketing and the impact it can have, so it’s great to work with a business that considers marketing a strategic part of its growth plans.
Most likely to be on your playlist?
I am a bit of a 90’s kid at heart so I’m definitely most likely to be found with a bit of Oasis or Stone Roses on the playlist, I do like a good podcast as well and you can’t beat a bit of Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Like most kids I think I went through a few career options, I was quite keen on being a farmer for a while, ironic since I hate farm animals now! One thing I always loved though as a child was being creative, always to be found drawing or writing stories – which funnily enough isn’t that different to where I’ve ended up!
